Needing a fast turnaround this beautiful GT40 racecar had some track damage needing repair before appearing at this year’s Goodwood Revival. Once we had the paint off it showed significant damage to the lower section of the bonnet. Being fibreglass this was reasonably quick to repair and after localised painting was back to looking the way a GT40 should. A few other small jobs including the removal of some of its previous livery, which turned out to be cleverly lacquered over freshened things up.

A fantastic vehicle to have in the shop. Unfortunately the owner wasn’t so lucky with this cars engine which was somewhere else undergoing pre event testing and set up and sadly didn’t make it in time for the planned appearance at Goodwood. The next time this GT40 hits the track will be the forthcoming Spa Classic! Look out for it.
